I have some exciting news. I have a job interview on Thursday with the bank I applied to. I had a phone interview with the place on Tuesday and was told if they wanted to do an in person interview that they would call in a week. Well, the lady called me yesterday! She sounded really nice and it seems like she already is interested in hiring me. I've been pretty persistent with this job. It is the best bank to work for in the Fairmont area. It has the best benefits package as well as retirement and sick days. There are also lots of opportunities for advancement, especially if you take classes in bank management or the like.
I forgot to mention in my last post what I find amusing about being sick right now. The night before I got sick I said a prayer of thanksgiving...for not being sick! Then the very next day I came down with this awful bug. I can deal with the runny nose and the cough, but...what I can't deal with is the pain in my eyes. I have coughed so much that it feels like my right eye is going to pop out of my head! I looked in the mirror this morning and had to chuckle. It looks like I've been punched in the eye. It is so swollen and puffed up. I have an eye pillow I made with flax seeds and lavender buds. I put it in the freezer and then placed it on my eyes for a few minutes last night. It really made them feel better. I should get that back in the freezer.
