A Christian Woman Thinks (And It's Dangerous)

Christmas Greetings

{ 10:15, Thursday, December 21, 2006 } { 3 comments } { Link }

As many of our blogging friends are doing, anticipating the next several days full of fun, family, and merriment, I want to extend Christmas greetings to all of you today. My prayer is that each of you be blessed with peace and hope, and a heart full of thankfulness for the greatest gift ever given mankind. It is that gift we celebrate this coming weekend.

I started reading a really neat book last night (I had lots of time - had to take hubby to the ER for a work-related injury- don't worry, he's okay). It is called "The Great Santa Search," as told to author Jeff Guinn by Santa himself. In the introduction, Santa says he began his gift-giving mission some thousand-plus years ago to send gifts to folks so they'll know they are loved (especially those who would go without) in a season when we celebrate the greatest gift of all, the gift of God's Son coming to earth. He also says he never meant to become the main focus of this holiday. What a neat book so far.

Hope you all have time to treasure moments in your hearts.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL time of celebration with your family. I envision you sipping Earl Grey from a fine china teacup, perhaps wearing a pair of those fun boots you are so fond of (hey, what about those neat red ones you showed us?!), maybe sneaking in a little reading time with a new book, and thinking up some more "dangerous thoughts" to share with all of us!

Best wishes for a delightful holiday and an amazing new year from your friend here in cold Montana.

I hope you have a marvelous Christmas with your family and thank you for ahring about the book you are reading! We are working on a Santa Unit Study and if I can find that at the library (probably won't be until next week) it sounds like a good book to add in! :O)

Blessings,
Kelley

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
