Consider this another wordless essay - the crane came today and put up our roof trusses. It took about four hours to put them up there in place, compared to a couple of days or more it would take to make them by hand and place them one by one. These came pre-made and ready to put up.....
(Bright and early - check out the frost on the ground! Trusses in a pile to the left)
That crane really extends quite a ways!
Up goes the first one....
Now you TRULY can see what the house will look like. It's amazing.
By the way, Jennifer, thanks for the condolences about the rain - you will see us Tuesday night.

How exciting Chris! I'm so glad for you that you will soon be past your rain in the house adventures :). How long is it before everything is scheduled to be completed so that you can move up into your area? (You will notice that I said "scheduled" because I am very well aware that things usually take more time than planned!)

So that is what it looks like when you don't do it by hand! he he We had one heavy duty truss that went up over the old portion of the house (the kitchen). It took SIX girls, my dh and our builder/friend to put it up! The other trusses were only one piece and our builder and his son handled those.
How exciting!! You should have "coverage" soon, right? I hear that it supposed to rain off and on the rest of the week!
See ya later! Jennifer
Thank God!! But not for the rain...
