In our house, anyone small & cute is dubbed a "bub." In fact, our youngest is still called "Bub" for short sometimes, an old nickname my older daughter gave her when she was born.
So here's my niece, Brooke, a "bub in a bucket." I had the pleasure of babysitting her Saturday night, and she played with older daughter Joy for a bit....
UNFORTUNATELY, shortly after this time of play Brooke tripped and hit, face first, the edge of a step stool. She went home with a shiner just below her left eye. I felt so bad!!!!!

You are our featured blogger this week! I really enjoyed reading your blog and getting to know you a little better. Be sure you email me with your address so that we can mail your gift out to you.
Also - changing subjects here- you might want to keep some Arnica ointment on hand for bumps & bruises. I have been absolutely amazed at how it keeps bruises from developing when you get it on their quickly. I just discovered it with my youngest, but I think every parent (or people caring for little ones) should have some on hand. Those top heavy toddler years can look really bad sometimes!

Oh yeah...Arnica is the best! Only don't put it on if the bruise has broken skin...it will sting. You can put it around the scrap, though. And getting some Arnica tablets from the health food store is good too. It distracts the little one with something in their mouth that DOESN'T taste bad while you tend to getting ice, etc.
She is a cutie!

On being Blogger of the Week! I've really enjoyed reading through your blog. My boys and I just walked to a cemetary near here and was looking at all the stones. It would have been a more peaceful walk if we didn't have to hear the cars zooming up and down the Interstate but it was nice walking through there with the kids.

She was 12 lbs at birth, and fatter than anything you can imagine. I dubbed her bubbies (for bubbles). Now she is normal size and still goes by bub, bubbies, bubba gump, etc.
Welcome! Here I sometimes post my thoughts, and news from the homefront. I'm glad you visited, please leave me a quick note if you enjoy something you read.
