Menu Planner Monday..

Monday.. Steak, mashed taters, corn and hot rolls

Tuesday.. fried chicken, dressing, greenbeans

Wednesday.. Kids are with their dad

Thursday.. Spaghettie, greenbeans and garlic cheese toast

Friday.. Homemade pizzas

Menu Plan for this week....

This week I am running a bit behind in just about every aspect of life.. LOL however I am now working to catch back up.. This week is a short week of menus for me as the kids will be with their dad for supper tomorrow night and then they go with their dad on Friday night and won't be home will after supper on Sunday.

Yesterday we had a light meal. We had browned hamburger and green beans along with bread and butter.

Tonight was hamburgers and mashed taters.. This was the idea of my 11 yr old and she wanted to cook.. So there you go..

Wednesday night I will eat cereal.

Thursday night we are having meatballs, corn, bread and butter..

Friday night the kids will be gone so I will have a scrambled egg and toast.

Saturday,, I have no idea it will just be me..

Sunday I will eat cereal..

I know that this weeks menu is not much, but it is made and we are eating.. :) I hope ya'll are having a great day.. Also if you do not mind doing so please send me your fave recipe websites..

Tomorrow is the day......

We are leaving at 5:30 am or so in the morning for Jordin's surgery. His surgery is scheduled for 9:30.. Please pray for him and his recovery.. He is getting a bit nervous I believe, but ready for it to be over..I will let you know how it goes.. :)

This weeks menu plan..

This weeks Menu is as follows...............

Monday.....  Chicken enchiladas

Tuesday..... Pork Chops, mashed taters, green beans and rolls

Wednesday.......... the kids will either have corn dogs and fries or something quick and easy this is Jordin's surgery day.. Or English Muffin Pizza's

Thursday....... Goulash, corn bread and a veggie

Friday.... Steaks on the grill, baked taters, corn,  rolls

Saturday.. Ham, mashed taters, green beans, hot rolls, jello

Sunday... either lunch with the family or pot roast, taters, carrots and bread and butter..

Snacks and Desserts

Choc chip cookies

Cherry Cheesecake

Sugar cookies

Cup cakes

Lemon Poppy Seed muffins

A couple of prayer requests....

Please keep my brother in law Ben in your prayers as he heals from his accident last week. He is home.. He has a broken hip and broken shoulder.. I know he is in pain and not very mobile and one of my neices was sick yesterday.. Also pray that my sister is nice to him.. She is a little upset about the whole situation.

Also please pray for my other brother in law Opie.. He has been having some issuses and they think it is his gall bladder he is supposed to go have a test ran tomorrow to see. So pray that they figure it out and he is better soon..

Pray that the rest of the family stays safe and healthy..

Surgery is scheduled and other things........

I took Jordin to the dr in the city on Tuesday and the dr told us our options then left us to talk about them and Jordin, the dr and I all agreed that our best course of action was to go ahead with surgery. The scheduling nurse came in and asked Jordin how soon was soon and he said today, she said well I did just get a cancellation for next Wednesday. So I am waiting for them to call me tomorrow and let me know what time on Wednesday. Please keep him in your prayers.. He will be 16 in August and the dr told him he would have a 3 month recovery time from this surgery..

School is going good! I can't believe that in 5 weeks I will have been going for 2 semesters. I am getting ready to sign up for classes for the fall.. I am excited about that.. A friend of mine and I are going to work on getting our schedules together.. The kids are getting ready for school to be out. We are excited for summer vacation. A friend of mine and I are going to take a road trip this summer and she is working on figuring out where we are going and etc. I am sure it will be fun.

Well I have a paper to finish writing.  I need to get April's menu made out and my grocery list made so that I can go to the store this weekend..

Weird Spring Weather and Prayer Requests...

So today we got snow and I believe some ice.. It is just nasty outside right now... I know it is supposed to be spring.. My sister and her girls went to Dallas to see our sister. Her husband was in an accident.. He was sideways in the road and saw a semi headed towards him he jerked his wheel and ended up in the ditch a deep one at that. I guess there was 2ft of water in his truck when he got out.. He is in the city in the hospital with a broken hip and possible broken Shoulder.. My sister and girls are on their way back.. In fact they should be getting to the hospital pretty quick.. My youngest sister took her hubby to the same hospital in the city because they think it is his gall bladder.. My parents are in the city with my brother in law and waiting to get the girls I believe from my sister. My parents are planning to head home later.. Please pray for the safety of my parents driving home.. It is nasty out there..

Ok let the flowers go back to blooming and the tress budding, sun shining and spring..

Spring.....

I love spring. Spring to mean means rebirth. I love to watch the trees and flowers bloom. How cool is it that our God blesses us with such beauty. Spring rains and storms come along and do their part in the rebirth of the things that have died off for a season. The sights and smells of spring just make me happy and I feel so blessed to see these things.. :)

Women of Faith

The weekend of March 13th and 14th I along with some good friend went to Kansas City to Women of Faith.. Oh goodness it was so amazing, it was one of the best Women of Faith Conferences I have been too.. The speakers were awesome, the music was wonderful, the drama and well just the whole schedule was rockin this year. I will say that the box lunches still need a little work, but hey when you are feeding 6000 women what do you expect?? LOL There was a little market between our hotel and the sprint center that we stopped at and they had wondeful food.

Steven Curtis Chapman was there on Friday night and I am telling you that guy is an inspiration. It was so great to witness him sing and tell his story. To see him and then to have Sandi Patty there and to talk more in depth about her life and Lisa Welchel whom I loved to watch on Facts of Life, Steven Arterburn, And the rest of the porch pals...

If Women of Faith is going to be close and you are able I say make it a priority to get there.. I promise you won't come away with out a blessing of some sorts....

Wednesday: Kids go with their dad so cereal for me

Friday: Homemade pizza

Saturday: Sloppy Joes, chips and a veggie

Sunday: Roast, taters, carrots, noodles, corn, crescent rolls
