Beans.....Beans......
I AM SO TIERD....................I did a crazy thing yesterday....I bought 60 lbs of green beans at a produce stand for 40 cents a pound. Today I made 20 qts of dilly beans, and when I am finished tonight there will be 75 qts of canned green beans! I will be doing about 14 more tommorrow morning. And......DH went out to our garden and came it with a big bucket of our own green beans! WE have enough for more than one jar a week!  I started at like 8am and it is 938pm right now and I still have to pressure cook about 3 batches! I am hot, tierd and sore.
Didnt think a little vegetable could do that to ya.........?

You are busy!! That is a ton of green beans - and a great deal you got! The cheapest we can get fresh green beans here is $1.99/pound. I've tried growing them, but they don't like our weather - or I haven't yet found a kind that does like our weather... Still on the hunt though! What a great feeling to have all that food stored up!

That is great to get all those jars of food put up. A great feeling!
From the sounds of your large garden...maybe be on the hunt for another pressure cooker?
My mother in law (mother of 15) usually has two steamers going like crazy during canning time.

Our green beans are just starting to bloom, kind of seems late to me. Makes me a bit nervous....

Oh yea I'd love your dilled green bean recipe.

It's great to hear that your DH was able to harvest green beans from your very own garden! I'm curious to see photos of your garden. Maybe you could post some photos. It would be great if you could squeeze the whole garden into one shot. Thanks a bunch! Keep up the good work!
