Strawberries here, strawberries there.......
This weekend some people from church told us they would be disking in their field of strawberries. They were everbearing! Tristar is the name. They asked if we wanted to dig any starts out. My hubby said sure. They said take as many as you want!!!!!! Well DH dug the whole thing up! We planted about 1200-1500 starts! We gave DH sister about 500-600 and the mennonite family down the road about 800!
It took about a day to dig them and then another day to prepare our ground and plant them. My legs are so sore! We have watered them for about 24 hours. I read that they really need water to transplant well! What a blessing to have been given so many starts! I now know what it means when it has been where much is given, much is required! Boy was that hard work! We should have so many strawberries next year!  We planted them next to our orchard. This will make it easier to water both areas.

Seriously - you are blessed! :-)

I have got to get a decent strawberry patch in here. Strawberries, rhubarb, and more asparagus. I'm seriously lacking in spring crops here. :-)

Wow, that is a lot of strawberries! You will have so many next year, maybe to sell or just make strawberry everything, yum :) What a blessing.
