I DID IT!!

I bought Chantel Hobbs book, Never Say Diet Again!  It is awe inspiring!  I can't believe it!  I was a little lazy this morning, but, the Biggest Loser marathon is on Bravo today, and it got me up out of the chair, into shorts, and I popped in my Walk Away the Pounds video. I did 2 miles!  YEAH ME!

Are we REALLy looking toward God?

Are we really looking to God for all the answers?  This is something that God has really talked to me about lately.  Are we looking to Him to answer our every need?  Look at all the blogs out there.  Now this is NOTHING against blogs, I read them and have gotten a lot of help from them.  I believe God can use them to speak to us.  I know in my case He has.  But, are we turning to them first??  Or are we running to His word?  Look at how many "Christian" self help books are on the shelves in your local Christian bookstore.  There are more books on weight loss, diet, decorating, home-keeping, homeschooling then there are commentaries on the scripture!  Now like I said, God can and has certainly used people to help other people.  But, my question is, is it an answer to your prayer?  Did you go to Him FIRST for help?  Or did you immediately turn to the nearest bookshelf on the topic you were searching for answers in?  I am guilty as charged, and as a result, I am getting rid of most of the books I have on the "various" topics I struggle in.  God has told me, in my spirit and through His word, that He will meet my needs.  I have gone through different seminars, read hundreds of books, I "know" what to do.  Now, God has reassured me, and is helping me, put these plans into action.  Now some of my favorite books with great homeschooling or organizing ideas I will hang on to, but, its only because I know now I will go to Him first and He will lead me in the right direction.

How about you?  Are you going to run to Him first the next time?

Doing a little better

1.  Started Thin Within today.  I waited for my "0" hunger and ate healthy.

2.  Got crock-pot going, bread baking, homeschool done, and ready to vacuum.

3.  Made appt. at Curves to "re-start"

4.  Got some phone calls done that needed to get done!

Feeling pretty good about it.....just trying to get past the aches.  For some reason the fibromyalgia is acting up.  I may have to get my meds re-adjusted.  However, I am waiting to see if the exercise will help it.

For our homeschool we are doing Rod and Staff math, Sonlight reading and science, we added Explode the Code, handwriting without tears and History for Little Pilgrims.  Its going pretty good.

Random thought: Has God ever spoken to you about something, telling you to do something and you spent more time "researching" how to go about doing it rather than just doing it??  That is where I am finding myself lately.  I need to get off my behind and just do it!

How is everyone else doing?  Anything God teaching you??

Busy, busy day

Did you ever wonder where the day went??  I feel like that every Monday!  DD #1 has 2 therapy sessions, so we don't get much done.  Both girls were up late, so I let them sleep in a little!  (for my sake as much as theirs! )  My cold is feeling better, so hopefully tomorrow I can start playing "catch-up".  My eating was pretty good today.  Not a lot of snacking, (a brownie from Chick-Fil-A) and that's it!  I'll probably have something small tonight to take my night meds with.

Tomorrow is homeschool co-op, so the girls are getting showers and getting ready for bed.  A little later than I wanted, but that's another story.  It was for a good reason.

I feel like we are starting to get back on track.  That's a good thing.

Hope you all had a great day!  How are things going for you?  Staying on track with the job God has given you??

I hate being sick!

I have been down now for 3 days with a sinus infection and flu bug.  I hate being sick.  The girls are getting tired too of not having structure.  Hence, why they are camped out on my floor tonight!  Monday's are always so busy that I am afraid I won't get caught up.  My dd has 2 therapy sessions on Monday's and then Tuesday is co-op.  Oh well, a little at a time and it will be okay.

Thanks for the encouraging words under comments!  Its nice to know that someone was reading.  However, I know this is more for me than anyone!  Its to help hold me accountable.

It snowed here today!  UNBELIEVABLE!  However, its snowed earlier than this last year!  It didn't stick, just lots of flakes!

Anyone a baseball fan?  I am a diehard Indians fan!  I stayed up and watched the game last night.  It was awesome, unless you're a Sox fan!    My aunt was a HUGE Indians fan.  She just passed away a week ago yesterday after a long battle with breast and bone cancer.  I used to call her during the games and its bittersweet now to watch them play without being able to talk to her.

Well, I better go for tonight.  Its late and I need to get sleep to get over this thing!  I think now with 2 days of antibiotics, (preventative too since both girls just had strep!) I should start feeling better tomorrow!

Am I really doing this??

Am I really doing this?  Is this me?  Really out there for all of cyberland to read what I have to say?  Do I have anything to say?  I think I am doing this more for me than anybody.  I have never been good at keeping journals, so maybe this will help hold me accountable for doing the things I NEED to do everyday!  While HH (handsome husband....nickname my cousin gave him) is gone, I have things I need to do.

1.  Get on a schedule and STAY on a schedule, for the house, the kids and me!

2.  Exercise daily and lose this weight!

3.  DOWNSIZE, DOWNSIZE, DOWNSIZE

These are the 3 things that bug him and these are the 3 things I am going to change before he gets home.   I have developed a new schedule and I just need to start it.  I have my exercise program and weight loss program, just have to start it.  I have started downsizing, just have to continue.

Anyone with me?
