Monday Musings...

Hey.

Our Monday started out busy!  We mucked out the chicken coop, spreading the old straw around in the chicken yard where it was muddy, and then re-filled the coop with a combo of shavings and shredded paper.  Whew!  Hot smelly work, but well worth getting the YUCK out of the bottom of the coop (the result of 27 chickens spending a month in there w/o going outside.  ewwwwww..... lol!!!!)

Ms. E learned to make scrambled eggs this AM, which was kinda cool.  She's getting so big so fast!  The other night, at a Chinese restaurant,  she was counted as an adult for the first time (ACK!! )  And yesterday afternoon, I bought her The Indian in the Cupboard at the bookstore, and she finished it before bed last night.  Now she wants the other four that follow in the series.

We went online today, and actually priced air fare and rental cars today (no!  Don't make me fly!!) for our vacation this summer, and decided to still drive (whew!!) We also decided we'd camp our way across the country, since it's SO MUCH CHEAPER omygosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well worth having to walk to the shower.  Al estimates it will save us about $85 each time we walk to the shower. Good thing we like to camp.
