Homestead Thursday...

Good Morning!

I woke up to the sound of my little Polish rooster crowing at about 6 this morning.    It was so nice out, I got up and spent about 1/2 hr. in the hammock on the porch, watching the pair of Pileated woodpeckers flying back and forth to the tree I think they're nesting in.  Then I came back in and spent a quiet 1/2 hr finishing embroidering small strawberries on the napkins I made yesterday.  It's the first time I've freehanded embroidery, and I REALLY liked it.  I see more of that in the future.

Then Al woke up, and we headed out to feed the chickens, and just hung out with them for a while, the went up and weeded and watered the garden, took the scraps back to the chickens, and checked out how much fence is already up.  Al hopes to let the chickens out into their new yard by Friday.  YAY!!!

So, now it's time for blueberry pancakes & to enjoy the rest of our "day off."  LOL!
