Saturday...

Sorry to make some of you think I was crazy for the length of my to-do list!  It was kind of an ideal, if I could I would... kinda thing.  Besides, since DH works Weekend Nights, and Sleeps during the day on the weekends, it really is a time for me to be crafty, and get lots of QUIET things done downstairs with the ladies.  (Good practice for if we get that MUCH smaller house!)

So I did get a menu/ grocery list planned and went shopping this morning, early, while DH stayed home w/ the girls.  We we out of everything!!  But at least "everything: now consists of staple ingredients!  I had a lady in the baking aisle eyeball my cart and say, "my, my, doing some holiday baking are we???"  to which I replied, "no, not much more than normal, really!"  Ok.  I confess, this was a bit of a fib, but not by much, and the look on her face was well worth it.  (I wasn't peering into her cart, after all!!)

So I got home & rearranged the pantry to fit it all in (added baskets from my attic store for bagged beans, etc...) then made my cocoa mix.   Now I'm just hanging out with the girls in the study.  J is on PBS Kids, and E & M are playing w our Little People Nativity set.  (they never seem to outgrow this...)

Let's see... what else... I found a tree topper yesterday at Wal-Mart, for $8... OK so it was really a twig-star wall decoration, but a few small adjustments with some wire cutters later, and the fake greens and pointsettias came right off, leaving me with a simple, rustic, very ala Pottery Barn tree topper!!! Hopefully I'll get some Pics uploaded later.

Gonna go see what else on my list of ideas I can get done, besides, I've run out of Java!  Peace~ Shari
