Musings from the Wee hours of the morning...

Hi all!

Yes.  I'm awake.  My computer tells me it's 4:58.  I'd love to say I'm one of those industrious moms, up before the sun, to greet the day.  The truth is this: I went to bed with a good book at midnight.  Then I fell asleep with the light on.  At 2 J woke up missing "Cheetah" (on her pillow!) and then my mind started SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

So I've been up on the computer ever since.  Checking e-bay auctions, looking for cute graphics, trying to figure out some blog issues I've been having.  I know I will regret another night with no sleep.  Right about the time the girls wake up.  Then I'll begin my caffeine/ nap/ grumpy routine all over again.  I'm trying to break this cycle, but can't seem to kick my caffeine habit.   And with the house back on the market, as soon as I stopped moving, my brain went into "stressed out overdrive."

Mostly about the way we've listed our property for sale, not the fact it's for sale.  We own 2 lots, and have them listed seperately, kind of a "so you want to buy the house?  OK would you also like the rest of the yard?  It's extra."  I don't mean to sound harsh about it, just that's kinda how I feel about it.  We listed it as one piece before, with little luck, but to me, say you ask 20 dollars for the house, and 10 for the lot.  Isn't that the same as just saying, please, buy this nice home with a large lot for 30? PLUS, due to subdivision restrictions, when we built the girls swingset, it's on the other lot (mostly to the side), yet it appears BEHIND the house, so, if you don't buy the lot, you don't get the swingset, or we have to move the thing.  (we have the corner, technically 2 pie shaped peices, but "structures" must be behind the home, so it's in the skinny part of the OTHER piece of pie.  Everyone but me (DH included) thinks this is ok, but me (Mrs. black and white) feel it's somehow dishonest.  I think if I were looking to buy it, I'd not feel real warm and fuzzy about it. Ah well.  Prayer, and more prayer, and this too shall pass.

Otherwise, if felt good to sort through things (brutally) and pack a few boxes.  I really want out house to look like we could be out tomorrow if needed.  Besides, if I pack it now, I don't have to later.  I weeded our school stuff down from two huge bookshelves full to one 3 shelf rolling cart full (just books, but better!) I had out everything educational we owned "just in case" and now I've got out just what we're using everyday, with the rest packed in a tote in the closet (too HEAVY to try to put in the attic.)  I think my scrapbook stuff may be the next thing to be packed.  Who has time to scrapbook right now, and I just packed up all my photos.  So pretty much, the dining room is back to being just that, and we're going to do school in the Kitchen again (actually could do either, as the cart has wheels I suppose, and it will go in the closet as well when the show the house.)

I guess I've rambled enough, time for a plan of attack... a to do list!

Peace~ Shari

Oh, my Shari, at some point today you may need to crash and take a nap. As for the lot issue, God knows the intentions of your heart and I feel like as long as you disclose it up front that there is another lot for sale then you are not being dishonest. I hope you get some rest and have a great day!!
Blessings,
Trixi
