Happy Labor Day!

It's been a quiet morning here so far, I'd say slow, but it's been more relaxed than anything.  I have 2 loads of wash on the clothesline, and a third in the washer, and one in the dryer to fold that I abandoned last night.  I've been sipping some java, watching the birds, and enjoying the colorful (mostly pink, of course) little clothes on the line out my windows.  I printed some labor day fun stuff from about.com for the girls for later once it's too hot to play outside.  Unfortunately, the printer cartridges I replaced this morning seem to be messed up, as it's not printing black right now.  I'll be troubleshooting that shortly!

We have NO PLANS for today.  WOOHOO!  Later this afternoon, we'll be joining the masses having a bbq with burgers, coleslaw, chips and dip, and I think I'll make a carrot cake for dessert.  I still need to help the girls set their dollhouse and stuff back up, too.  We ran some errands yesterday instead.  I've been puttering on my computer again, drawing houses, and we've begun looking for land.  with or without a house.  There aren't any other farmhouses on the market in our area (or pricerange) right now.  We're also trying to decide what to do with this house now.  We still feel God is calling us to be more self-sufficient, and move out of the subdivision.  But we are no longer in a hurry for all this to happen.  All in God's time.  For now, this house is fine, I'm planning on putting up a computer printout paper timeline around the ceiling in the kitchen, and today the girls have a tent for reading under the dining room table, since it has gotten hot.  We released the painted lady butterfly we've been nursing back to health since the cat brought it in the house.  His wings are still ragged, but he was doing more harm than good by trying to fly in the bug house.  Just another moday here at our place.  Hope you all have a great labor day.  Peace- Shari
