Happy Saturday...

Hey!  We've been crazy busy this week.  We officially took our house off the market with our current realtor yesterday.  It's not to say that we don't still want to move, but we needed time to regroup, I think.  That said, our old realtor showed our house again this AM to the same couple who saw it last week.  I guess everyone's plan is to not worry about the details of how this will work until it happens.  I think that means we're a For Sale By Owner right now.  Because of all our crazy real estate stuff, we haven't done much school this week.  We planned on taking next week off as our fall break, but I think I'll count last week as that mostly and at least make up a couple of days next week.  We didn't have plans to really go anywhere, so we can always wait and take a vacation later.  I can't believe we've homeschooled for 2 months already.  Time sure files. 

We got E's test results from the PS from last year in the mail yesterday.  In 2nd grade (2.7 is when she tested) she scord overall at a 4.4 (4th grade, 4th month) and in vocabulary she scored a 10.6.  Holy cow!  No wonder she stutteres sometimes, her brain is in overdrive!  We were quite proud of her for doing so well, and doubly glad we're homeschooling this year so she (and our other two smarties) can work at a more individualized pace.  For instance, E began reading Stuart Little (unabridged) at 7 this morning.  By 11 she was done, and we spent nearly 2 hours of that time in Cracker Barrel for breakfast while our house was being shown!!!  E & M have both read over 35 books since 8/7 and J has had over 15 read to her.  We'll reach our 100 books = bowling goal soon!  At this rate we may run out of books!  lol!!

Well, E's just finished reading J a naptime story, and E, M & I are about to start schoolwork, we're still working on our mummy lapbooks.  I hope to bake a bunch this afternoon, too, so I gotta run.  Take care- Shari
