I am not an alarmist but I do like to think ahead on what if.  I am not a Bible Scholar but I do believe as the Word says in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

 

Bible Prophecy has become somewhat of a passion for me.  It helps keep me focused especially sense my natural tendency is to be slothful. 

 

Though I've been covering the Pantry mainly on this blog I hope and pray that whoever reads it realizes that it is not a superficial subject when dealing with end time prophecies. 

I have tried to post current articles on prices and shortages to help others follow what's going on in the world if they don't already follow it.

 

Every day there is something more.  Famine increases, crops fail, weather is so out control (not really, God is in control, but you know what I mean).  I was pondering a scripture this morning that has helped to motivate me to look at my pantry and hold it up to God in prayer.  It is one I wanted to share.  For those who know it, you will already have connected it with what's going on today.  For those that have never heard it, it will send chills down your spine.

 

The scripture is Revelation 6:6-8

 

6:6-8 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.  And I looked, and behold a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.  And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger and  with death and with the beasts of the earth.

 

Revelation 6:6-8 prophesied that global food shortages and high food costs would be one sign that the end of our current age is approaching.  Though we've had famines in the past there is so many other prophecies being fulfilled at one time to be able to believe that this is just an food crisis.

 

Though a couple of these articles are a few weeks old, they are still worth reading.
