Sorry, I don't make my own laundry soap. With everything else I do over here you would think I did! LOL.. I love using Melaleuca products. They work and meet my needs for safer products for our home. I guess since I spend my time washing laundry by hand and the other things we do off the gird over here I appreciate not having to make my cleaners... maybe someday that will change, who knows! :-) Have a wonderful weekend with your family! With love, Mrs. Joseph Wood

I purchased a square 4 gallon container from the dollar store, only because it fit better on the shelf near my machine. Just me...........Kitty

Storing Soap
Posted by Belle on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 01:41 - Link
That is strange that you are asking that. I just posted this week my homemade laundry soap recipe.
I like to store my soap in plastic juice containers or milk jugs also work good too. I just like the juice containers better.
You blog looks great!
Have a Great Day!

I also use a kitty litter jug. Actually I have 2 and it takes up one full and 1/2 of the other one. When I make the powdered I use a small rubbermaid container I got from wal-mart a little smaller than a shoebox.

Thank you I'm going to have to save jugs..

Last summer I purchased a bucket with a lid from - you'd never guess - the bait shop at the fishing pond! They are just like five gallons, but smaller. Probably two gallons. Much easier to deal with than the big five gallons. They are sold to carry bait in, but work fine for laundry soap when purchased brand new! They are plain white on the outside. I paid $4 for mine. If you can't find a small bait shop, you can purhcase similar styrofoam ones in the fishing sections of sports stores like Bass Pro Shop.
