Ray is thinking about buying me a new sewing machine and I was wondering what kind you have and do you like it? I have three machines now two treadle and a kenmore the kenmore is getting tired and the treadle they don't were out. I'm looking at a brothers now the one that offers 60 stitches.. haflinger

I have 4 sewing machines but only 3 that work.
I have husgvarna that my great aunt left me that has retired but I am keeping it for sentimental reasons.
I have my deceased mother in laws and it is almost ready to retire and it has only ever done straight stitching, I am thinking that is a viking? and I have my new brother and I LUV IT! and I have my babylock serger. I use my open arm brother for everything. The only thing is that it does not do well for sewing polar fleece.

I have to admit that I love sewing machines. I always feel that I have to rescue any that are neglected, silly I know but I have rescued about 8. My favorite is my Paff. I have had it for 42 years and it was new when I got it as a newlywed. I sew on it all the time. I have 2 singer 97 machines. They are just straight sew and I use them piecing quilts. I have 3 machines set up all the time( I hate to change bobbin colors). Now I need a treadle. When my girls were growing up I sew their clothes, sometimes one seam a day. I have 14 girls and 3 boys.
