That machine is lovely. Of course silly me I was thinking it was going to be a white colored machine, which wasn't making any sense as I knew everything back when this would have been made was black. Oh well. Looks like you got an awesome deal. I wish I could find something like that, but where would I put it? Oh well have fun sewing on your new machine.
Oh, it is so beautiful. I just recently got my grandmother's old cabinet sewing machine. They are true treasures!!!
Blessings,
Trixi

Oh that machine looks wonderful! Looks very much like my Singer...although mine is a much younger lady from 1920-1921. I had to really scratch around the Internet to find out her age based on the patent numbers. I did manage to find someone who had an original manual as well for mine. Just a tiny little book to fit in the drawer.
You have quite the find there! It's beautiful!

If you are still having trouble threading it, I wonder if the directions in my book for the Singer would help any? I'll check them later today.

Your sewing machine is fantastic! Hi, I am Jenn. Thanks for the tip you posted on my blog. It is great to hear from someone else in Maine!
What a lovely old sewing machine....... my grandmother had one like it and she would sew all her own clothes on it...... grandma never did purchase anything from the store -- all her clothes were home made..... amazing.......
