Has anyone canned strawberries? If so how do they taste and hows there color? I thought I would try it this year to give me more freezer space. The price of gas is so high I don't go to store as much cause its quick a travel for us.. haflinger≈

Sorry I never have canned strawberries.
I looked up strawberries to can in teh Blue Ball Book,mine is pg. 21.
If you don't have it. I can write it our for you.

Strawberries get mushy and will lose their color if you can them :( They do *far* better if you freeze them. Just pop then in!
