• Thursday, December 18, 2008 - Husband gets laid off..

Posted in day to day

Well I know we aren't the only ones but HB has Christmas party today @work and laid off the same time how nice of the company..He works on robots @ a factory that makes trunk liners for cars.. They supply to all make and models.. So they have told him he is laid off for awhile there plant is shutting down. They will call back folks some time Jan 19th of so that is for call backs only. He has been with the company for 21 years. Now we live in Maine not much around us except paper company's and they are laying off as well. Its not like he can take his robot training else where. So what we do we leave it in god's hand and pray..

Blessings Brenda

I will pray for your husband and your family. I know by what you said at the end of your post that you know God takes care of even the little sparrow, so he will certainly take care of you!
Enjoy your Christmas!

Praying for your family, Brenda! My dh's company cut everyone's hours way back several weeks ago, and they have been "given" from Christmas Eve until
Jan. 5 off with no pay. Thankfully he had some vacation that will cover some of the missed time.
Praying the Lord will bless your dh with a new job or whatever He wills, that's always the best thing :) .
Blessings,
Catherine

Will keep you in my prayers. You have to laugh at how these companies work, or else you'd get mad. So what they couldn't have like canceled the Christmas party and maybe paid the workers for one more day or something.

Well I guess everybody today is just a number.. Thanks for stopping by..

It just seems that things keep getting worse. But what the world doesn't understand, is that Sweer Jesus Christ is in control of it all. Just knowing that makes me feel better.

I pray that your husband will be called back soon.

Oh no, Brenda, I am SO sorry to hear this. At least it sounds like he has some seniority and may get called back. Times are hard everywhere, but the Bible says this too shall pass. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

I'm sorry I haven't been reading much lately, I've been working like crazy.
So sorry about DH being laid off--- mine was also, last week.... And, like you, we're in Maine--- not much happens in the winter, and there are hardly any jobs to begin with!!!
Let me know if I can do anything at all!!!!!!!
