I also enjoy mixing in small diced celery and some sweet pickle relish with a little bit of the juice. I also sometimes mix in some ranch salad dressing (the liquid kind already in the bottle) and lots of dill weed, as well as garlic powder, salt and pepper. Sometimes I put in some Mrs. Dash too. I use real mayonaise too, which seems to make the potato salad taste extra nice.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your potato salad. If you try any of these, be sure to let me know how you like them.
God bless you~ Andrea

The best potato salad

Making potato salad is a fine line in what you can add to it for it to taste yummy or taste like the yucky store bought stuff does.In making potato salad you have to use real mayonaise (not miricle whip) and you always have to use dill pickles or relish (never sweet) Another must is sliced black olives and never ruin your salad by adding vinegar! Now you know the secret to what some call the best potato (or macaroni) salad ever made is!
Many, many ladies have asked for my potato salad recipe, so give it a try (and maybe your hubby might find he likes it after all!)

I'm the only one in my family who likes potato salad. I just add mayo, mustard, onion, celery flakes, hard cooked eggs, salt & pepper. Sometimes, Instead of white potatoes I will use sweet potaoes or I will use a combination of white and sweet. It not only makes the salad look pretty but it tastes good too.
Hugs,
Nikki

I use real mayonaise, 1/4 cup plain yogurt, diced dill pickles, boiled eggs, a dash of mustard, salt and pepper. Oh yeah, boiled ,diced potatos not mashed up. I make a lot at one time. I use about 15 to 20 potatos. I never put onion, celery or anything else in it. My family loves it. My DH never liked potato salad at all until I fixed it for him.
