A few weeks back our son and grandson came up to go turkey hunting.. My grandson is nine and he did the calling and my son got the turkey .. They got it in our field the beard on the turkey was 8 1/2 inches and it was nice and big.. It was the first time my son got a turkey.. They got it first thing in the morning and had time to get back at my grandson baseball game...
Hunter is a big time hunter he lives up to his name!
There off to a ball game now..Two proud peas in a pod..

what do ya do with that turkey? we have them by the hundreds around here but I have never had one fixed in a way we like,

Well penny I've never had wild turkey before it was my son's first try at it.. We have so many in our fields eating blueberries..
But my son bought a mounting kit for the beard and feathers I think he said.They are planning to eat the breast meat..
I would wrap the breast meat in bacon put some water in the roasting pan and add apples..
But when they fix there I'll let ya know ....
