Life At The Bear Den

As you may know, DH and I are trying to buy a house in Michigan so we can relocate. We have had our eye on this certain house for a few months now. Since we have been watching it, it has come down in price twice, coming below $95,000! I told DH that if it drops any lower than I think we should high-tail our butts to Michigan and make an offer. Well, today I found out through a buyers agent that I am talking to that the people asked if they came down another $10,000 would we come see it sooner than the end of January ( we were planning on a trip then to view the house and to make sure we had some extra money).

So now this beautiful 2300 sq. foot home on 3.5 acres with 3 fireplaces in the house and 4 bedroom and 2 baths, is now only $85,000!

DH and I quickly talked and decided to pull his 401k and go to Michigan next week to view the house, make an offer if we like it and get it inspected. So DH gets on the phone to start the process of pulling his 401k and we come to find out he can't get just yet  we were counting on this money so much! So, ok, after feeling thrown down with that punch we figure what can we do to get $2500 for a down payment. We can't go to parents because we don't talk to DH's parents, we can't go to my parents because they have less money than we do. What are we going to do?

We are going to have to wait unti we can get DH's taxes done, which the soonest we can do that is the 10th of January, and we can only hope that with his job cut last year and his salary going down, that we still get a good amount of money back.

So i need prayer y'all. Can you please pray that we get this house. Can you please send a prayer that we can find money to have the down payment. And I'm going to be selfish on this one, I'm not sure if I should... but pray no one else makes an offer on this house

I am just racking my brain to find a way to get some money now....

God knows your situation. And He also knows the perfect timing, steps, etc. to take to get you into that house IF that is what He needs you to do. Rely on him,and not the 401K, etc. He may work miracles at the 11th hour for you!!! Just keep your mind on him, and not the house or the money situation.

This is what worked for us with our house about 3 years ago. We ended up not moving in when we wanted, and we came upon every obstacle you could imagine. And I prayed, dear Lord, if you want us in that house, then tell me what to do. If you don't, then please oh please make something happen so we don't end up buying a lemon, or messing up your future for us! We moved in 1.5 months later than I had wanted.....but it was God's perfect timing!

I will be praying!

God's Blessings,
Amy Jo

I know how excited you are, but anxious too! I will pray for the Lord's will on that house. My sil just went through this....they would just miss out on offers on houses, etc. Then they found the "perfect" house for them and are getting ready to move in. Those other houses were nice, but this fits them best! :) God knows what is best...so I am praying His best for you! :)
