Q&A

Kim, You got to see a woman mix 12 loaves worh of sourdough in a 5 gallon bucket and you didn't even bring pictures back?  That must have been amazing!!

Robyn, Yes the pureeing was a definite no-no for next time.  I was really trying to embrace the recipe and like creamy soups.  It didn’t work. LOL

Heather, the whey is added to nutralize the phytates found in grains and beans.

Chas,  The code for the button.

I don't know if it is just me or not... but the button that is supposed to come up where you wrote it out for me isn't... let me know if it is a glitch on my end... I am learning a lot these days that what is perfectly fine on my end may not be so with others! :|
Have a great remainder of the weekend!!

Katie - I'll be going over for a real sourdough lesson as my starter will be ready Wednesday and will get a whole set of pictures for ya! I'm going to nab some great recipes from Serene for ya too. She's all into NT style now as opposed to all raw and with all the children they've adopted from Liberia they use loads of Red Palm Oil and make all these great African soups and food and it's all just amazing! I made sauerkraut once and it wasn't so hot. Too salty. I used to NT recipe and found the salt just overwhelming. I want to try again. I have both whey and cabbage in the fridge. I can't wait to see your post about it and see if I just screwed it up or what lol!
