All of life is full of choices. We choose what to eat, wear, which car to drive or not to drive these days, walking and biking are becoming more popular. I have threatened to going back to horse and buggy. My youngest thought horse would be neat. However, it might be a little bit more difficult living in town to keep a horse or two around. We choose where we want to live, what job we want to pursue. You name it we have choices to make.
Well, we are trying to make a choice here. We are going to bite the bullet and put new siding on the house and roof work. This is calling for a choice as to who will give us the best price. So we had to get bids. Then there was the checking at the bank for a loan. It isn't cheap to do this project. Today we have to go sign our life away again. And our final choice what color. I didn't realize it was such a hard decision to choose a color for siding. I'm torn. Do we basicly want to stay with the same color or do we want a color change. We are stuck between the two choices. I really like the taupe (they call it KS Clay) and Med. Green (AZ sage), BUT THEN AGAIN maybe a completely different color we've had the taupe forever why not something different. I like the Ivory (NY Champagne) and Tan (TX Tan) too why not something different. Also the choice of shingle colors. OH, No, how am I going to decide????? I hate this, But maybe the Med. Gray (TN smoke) and the Country Blue (KY Blue) would be good. Argh!! I can't decide. Guess I'll be happy with whatever we do. Just let my hubby make the decision. Oh, yes, that sounds good to me. By the way the first color I mention would be the siding with the second color the trim.
All these decisions makes me think of my hubby's sermon he preached a few weeks ago..."What will YOU do with Christ?" Taken from Pilate's words druning Jesus' trial before they cruicified Him.
Well, I must be off of here and get some work done. I'll share with you in a few days the WINNER of our choice.... As work progress on this I'll try to post pictures. But they say it may be Aug. before they can get to us for the siding. But if we choose colors soon it could be sooner because they still have some that haven't chosen their colors so we would get pushed to the front of the end of the line (now did that make sense?) if we had color choices picked out. Oh, the pressure is on now. Oh, well that will give us time to paint around the windows and move the shed away from the house and do all that fun stuff. We have to take down the chimney and we are thinking on different front steps so all that must be done first. Yuck!! that means work. I don't have a choice. |
