Friday, May 2, 2008 - "My kids will never do that."

OR will they?  I think I was just proven wrong on this matter. 

You know I've heard parents say, "My kids just told me they needed this ??  for school today."  "My kids told me this morning there was a concert at school tonight they had to be at."  Or something along that line.  (You get the picture)  Parent/child miscommunication.  And I've always thought to myself how totally out of to not be in line with things like this. 

Well, guess what my DD just throw it at me.  2 1/2 hours before violin lessons and she said, "Mom we need to practice a new song my teacher gave me in my book."  See I go in at the end of her lesson time and play the piano part in one of her books and we generally practice them together all week at home.  Well, this week we've practice seperately but not together because it has been so crazy around here.  So she failed to tell me that he gave her a new song to work on.  Argh!!!  So I'd better get off of here and practice it some before we leave.
