Do you know who John Hancock is?

John Hancock was born Jan 12, 1737. He was a fiery Patriot. He risked much for the cause of independence. We all know him to be a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Made his signature big and bold and readable. (you can read more about John Hancock in William Bennett's book: The American Patriot's Almanac.)

1773 - The first public museum in America is established in Charleston, SC
1906 - The Dow Jones Industrial Average closes above 100 for the first time
1915 - Congress established Rocky Mountain National Park
1932 - Hattie W. Caraway of Arkansas becomes the first woman elected to the US senate
