Tuesday, June 24, 2008 - I see nufing...

Well, the last two days I have felt like I see nufing.... actually I've had to keep my mouth and eyes closed. Oh, no I need my eyes open for this job that I've been given. However, I've been stuck in the bathroom to do the job. I've been scraping our two bathroom windows. I know they are the original windows in this house. Our house was built in the 1890's and I don't think the paint has ever been scraped off of these bathroom windows. There has to be at least 10 layers of paint on them. I have seen the top layer which has been cream the last 13+ years, but under that I have found white, a soft peachy cream, tan, hot pink and a blue aqua and who knows what other colors. The paint chips have been flying. I have worked on this all day yesterday and today. I'm hoping to get finished tomorrow. What a job it has been. I'm glad the other eight windows in this house wasn't this big of a job. I'd be sunk for sure if they had been. However, they did take one coat of primer and two coats of paint so that was a total of 24 coats of paint plus each 5 of them were older and have big pull out frames so it was a total of 50+ coats of paint I've applied so far in the past 10 days. YIKES! Then when I'm finished with that I have four basement windows and a shed to paint. I think I'm dreaming of blue..... paint. So why do I see nufing.... because I have to keep my eyes closed because of the paint chips flying. Well, so now you know what I've been up to the last two days. I've been held up in the bathroom.

Well, I'm going to buzz on out of here. Just wanted to give you all a idea as to where I've been or haven't been.

The siding and roof are completely done. Oh, the house looks so nice. I can't wait to get pictures and put them up for you all to see. I have to take a trip to the library to download them but first I need to take them

. Hubby is working on the wood deck in the front and side of house. Some day I may give you all a sneak peak but we still have to pile of fence lumber in the yard. Been waiting for that to get gone before I take a picture but it just isn't moving on it's own for some reason. I've been wishing someone would get ambitious and steal some lumber but for some reason it's always there in the morning when I wake up. It would save me a lot of work.

Things you don't mind if people steal they won't do it. But something that is unheard of it vanishes. Wondering what I'm talking about read my post from earlier in the month @ 2 Catch a Thief!
