Our little homestead in the city

We are in the process of making a vegetable garden.  We have been blessed with a big backyard.  We live in inside the city, but sort of out of it...if that makes sense.  We started today.  We tilled the land.This is the land we are turning into our garden.  This is before we tilled it.  I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but I will.  We have no idea what we are doing, but the Lord will guide us, plus a few seasoned gardeners from the Family homestead.  We have long growing seasons here in Texas, So we still have time to plant .  We will plant:
                          -Pumpkin
                           -Peppers
                          -Zucchini
                           -Lettuce
                           -beans
                           -Corn
                           -Tomato
                           -and some herbs.  I will grow the herbs in pots.
I think that is it.  I will update it as we progress.
I plan to do a lot of canning and preserving through this
