Grocery Store With Four

God blessed us with our fourth bundle of joy almost 11 weeks ago.  He was born on April 13th, 2006 at 12:47 pm.  7 lbs. & 6 oz., 21 inches long.  So since my return home from the hospital we have been in adjustment mode.  Two days ago I was doing our weekly grocery shopping.  It was my first time to take all four little ones to the store by myself.  They had been great the whole day.  We went to run a bunch of errands before so by the time we went to the grocery store they were pretty tired.  I had our twin stroller with Ethan (11 wks), and Trinnity (2 yrs).  Then I had the boys on either side of me Julian (6yrs) and Angel (4 yrs)  Julian was a feat helper.  he helped to push the cart.  I had so many people comment "oh, you poor thing" or "looks like you need a hand"  and every time I would say "I do have helpm the Lord helps me" or "they are such a blessing"  So anyways, /julian kepy not looking where he was going and actually knocked over a sign.  Then while in the meat dept. I was getting the kids and backed into ...A WALL...not a stand...A WALL OF GLASS COKE BOTTLES!!!!!!!!!Praise God only one broke, nevertheless, I was really embarrassed.  Then the baby got fussy, so I was carrying him and pushing the stroller and guiding the cart.  We finally made it to the checkout.  And after all was rung up...I had left my wallet in the car.  So he had to suspend our ticket and I took the kids with me to the car, and it had been in my purse the whole time.  While in th echeckout line DD opened a chocolate bar that I ended up paying for.  Which was not too bad in the end, b/c I ate it when we got home as a reward for myself (even though I know it is bad to eat emotionally).  The moral of my story is...GOD IS GOOD!!!!!  I know things will get better!!!  It was just a learning experience to use for our next trip. by the way here is a picture of my little ones.

That is a very cute and very real story. A mommy thing I must say. We just had our 7th baby 3 weeks ago and I have to go with all 7 alone but I have gone witht the 6 alone and preg. What a chore that can be if they get fussy or ornery before I am done with groceries WOW!! I must looka fright when I am trying to rush the rest of the trip through the grocerie isles. Anyhow how many laughs I have had since thie adventure of motherhood began!! Enjoy your adventures!! Blessings!!

I think many have been there! We shiver at the idea of taking all the children into the store. The situation has to be right...not too tired, not hungry, not out of sorts emotionally. You sound like you handled it great; I might have gone out to the car to get the wallet and just drove home without going back in!
Blessings, Theresa :) We have 9.
