Little miss muffet sat on her tuffet eating her curds & whey! Curd tarts. 1/2 lb curds 3 tablespoons white or brown sugar 1 egg walnut size butter or marg. 2 oz currants candied peel or lemon rind nutmeg little 1 teaspoon baking powder. Make up the curds (these can be bought here from deli too) add the dried fruit and flavourings. Add well whisked egg & lastly melted fat. Line cookie tins with short crust pastry & add filling. Bake in a hot oven until golden brown approx 30 mins. 1 tablespoon of golden syrup in place of some of sugar will give a shiny finish. These can be dusted with icing sugar if desired.......
