Ginger is close to foaling

Well, our horse, who we bought already bred, is about to foal.  She is due either the end of April or the end of May.  If you could see how unbelievably large she is you would think it has to be the end of April.  She has been very restless all day and we have thought well maybe..... The weather is getting stormy though and it may just be that.  Hopefully, it will all be over soon and we will just look out and there will be a new baby.  We are very nervous, as the only other thing we have birthed is puppies.  LOL.

I understand that with a horse there isn't much you can do to help her give birth.
Once she does give birth just make sure your baby gets the first milk as soon as posible.
you can tell when she will give birth by the udder. when it gets full it's about time.

I would be nervous too! So is this your first horse then? I hope it all turns out well. I love seing those long-legged colts when they're newborn. :o)
