What is up with this weather?

Here in Ms. yesterday, it was 78*.  Now granted we are talking about Mississippi, where one day it can be 40* and the next 80* but come on 78* in February.  We went to the park for some much needed PE and my kids were wearing shorts and Tshirts.  It was a beautiful day.  However, with this nice warm weather comes some major thunderstorms.  So for today we are scheduled to have some doozies.  They are saying Tornadoes, and Hail.  So I will have the weather on most of the day today.  We slept with the windows open and fans running last night.  I love Ms. weather, except for that dreaded humidity.LOL

As, this past summer we had one of the worst droughts in years, we are in desperate need of all this rain.  However, when you get it all at one time, like we have been getting the last couple of weeks, you tend to not appreciate it as much.LOL  I am having to remind myself we need it.  It is a wet sloppy mess all around my house.  We have even been having to let the chickens out because their pen is such a mess. YUCK!!

It is storming here now. We also have a muddy mess!! My husband is going to get some stone put on the drive this week, it is nothing but mud right now. We slip and slide all the way down it.

We were awakened at 3 am to a hugemongous thunder storm. They are "saying" severe storms possible today...........but they also said the 'end all beat all snow storm was to happen last week!' So who knows!!

Here today its snowing we have about 5" of snow still coming down and the temp is 35 later its surpose to come to rain and freezing rain..

We are in the same position in GA. I appreciate the rain and all, but when it's warm I'd like to be outside, like today. I think it should rain when it's cold, and have some pretty snow. Selfish, huh? Haha

Oh I just dread the humidity too. I slept with a box fan blowing on me last night and yesterday I opened all the doors. It's really windy right now at 11:20 am.

The weather has been crazy here too! We had 65 yesterday and it has droppped to the low 30's... we are expecting an ice storm this afternoon and them about 5 inches of snow tonight..... the roads are sooooo bad ...... so much muck and our driveway is washed out..... crazy! Our crrek right now is up at flood level... we have had freezing rain this morning all morning.........

I know what ya mean, yesterday it was 80 and today we woke up to 45 degree weather and rain with some good wind. LOL. Thats ok the outdoor winter plants could use a drink now and then
