I am not very political, however......

As you can see from my side bar, I am obviously openly supporting Mike Huckabee. He is the only true "Christian" that I can find running in this race. He is the only candidate that I believe could beat Hillary Clinton. He supports religious freedom, homeschooling, the second amendment, sanctity of life, and I could go on and on. I feel like most politicians just say what you want to hear but I have taken my time in making this decision and have researched his results and I am really on board with Mike. Here is a clip of his concerning homeschooling.......
Mike Huckabee
My main issue in this race is the preservation of my right to homeschool and parent my children. Now my husband loves him for his stand on military type affairs and economics.
I also encourage you to go to MikeHuckabee.com

Sweet child!!
I say this with love....because I do respect and appreciate you....
But as far as a "true christian".......rethink that wording.
Is he standing on the podium like Billy Graham, Claiming the Name of Jesus Christ? Is his platform to advance the Kingdom Of God? He very well may have conservative "values", but, make no mistake, he is still 100% human.......just like the rest of them. He may be the 'lesser of the evils", but he is still 100% human.
I am all for a 'leader' who is pro-military, pro-family, pro-life......don't get me wrong......but we have to be careful when we say "he's a true christian", because in essence, we are saying the others are NOT.
That scary little word "judgement" comes into play there.
You are a wise women, with a huge heart, great compassion, and great blogs......maybe a couple of quick edits??
In Love,
Laura

You may have missed my quotation marks on the word Christian. I was being a tad facetious when using that wording. I am not big on judging someone's Christianity in one way or another as I do not know this man's heart. However, he does stand for a lot of the core Christian values my husband and I stand for. Now, that may all change tomorrow but it is what we have seen in him today. I apologize if you took my wording a little too literal.

Trixi

Trixi- thanks for the encouragement, it was just what I needed this morning. Interesting link to Mike Huckabee. I like him also, although right now I'm for Fred Thompson, but I'm not sure he'd beat Hillary. I pray SOMEONE does! Have a great day! Peace~ Shari

Trixi,
Thank you for sharing -- I have been hearing a number of good things about Mike. I think we all need to prayerfully consider our choices and vote for those who we feel God would have us vote for. It is a sacred duty in my mind, to chose men of sound principles.
Blessings,
gloria

Hey thanks for the link, I do have to agree with Laura on this one in regards to the labeling of ones faith, heck even Hillary Clinton claims she is Christian because she grew up in the church... But anyhow I do agree Pro Life, Pro Homeschool, Pro Military, is definatly what is giving me thoughts on these folks running for president.
Someone else mentioned him

I am with you all the way! Mike Huckabee for President! I do not see a better canidate that stands for what we believe in. Many may call themselves "Christians" but it is the fruit that makes it evident to the world. I do not know him personally to say that his life is fruitful, but if I am not mistaken he was a pastor and now is willing to take a BOLD Stand for what he believes in. If only there were more like him running! We as Christians need to unite in prayer for God's Blessing on our nation and to give us a godly president to bring us back to One Nation Under God!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
