You are not going to believe this and being simply frugal and continuing to pray....

Well, this afternoon was oldest DD's turn to go hunting with daddy. Shortly after dark they were still not home and Dh forgot the cell phone. I wasn't worried though, I just figured he was helping somebody clean their deer or standing around the deer camp talking. Our neighbor down the road came over to tell me that he just saw my DH and he asked him to come tell me that oldest DD shot a 4 pt. and they were cleaning it. I was floored, that makes 3 deer in 1 week. It makes 2 deer in 1 day. Needless to say, the freezer will now be full. DH said from now on they are not shooting at anything less than an 8 pt. I would love to also show you a pic. of DD's 4 pt. but not only did they walk out without a cell phone they also forgot the digital camera. I was not happy, as I wanted all of their deer in an album. Oh, well, she will just have to get another one.LOL
As for being simply frugal, we have only had one chest of drawers in our bedroom for 17+ years. We have just had to make due with what we have had. Well, even though we do not have a great number of clothes, it is tough for two adults sharing one small chest of drawers and a small closet. DH had a huge bookshelf that he was throwing away at work. I saw it when I went by yesterday. I asked him if I could have it for my room. He said sure and in between hunting today he took the trailer up to his office and we picked it up. He thought we would have to cut it down it is so big. It measures 90 1/2 inches high and 58 1/4 inches wide. It just fit. Here it is:
It is by no means beautiful. It is just plain shelving wood and it has paint on one side of it. Nevertheless, it is perfect for our needs. DH will have one side for clothes and I will have the other. I have shoes along the bottom and I am putting blankets on the top shelf. I hope to eventually paint it and maybe put doors on it. God is so good to provide just what I need without it costing me a cent. Thank you Lord.
On to the most important thing of the evening, I talked to Deanna today, and she seemed in good spirits considering. She said that Jacob is continuing to have nightmares about the fire. I am sure she will let us know more and I hate to speak about it without her permission. However, I just would like to ask that we just pray that little Jacob will have peace of mind. This is an awful lot for a little six year old to handle. God can give him peace. We just need to ask Him for it!!! We also need to continue to pray for Deanna and the rest of the family to continue to have the strength to deal with all that they are dealing with right now.
Blessings,
Trixi

I've been praying for little Jacob and his family. I hope that his nightmares will stop...I feel so sorry for him.
As for the processing, it's not as difficult as it sounds. It's kind of like preparing a meal and then freezing it. You throw in all the ingredients and then wrap it up! However, I think with 3 deer in such a short time period, I'd opt for someone else processing it also!! Your family is truly blessed!
Take it easy and Happy Thanksgiving!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
