On the hunting front....DS's first deer (pics)

Well, needless to say when middle DD got her first deer last week, Ds was a little disheartened.  He was glad his sister got one but he sure wished it had been him.  It was a good lesson in pride and covetingness.  Evidently God felt he had learned enough and let him get his first one this morning.  Thank you Lord.  Here it is:

She was a nice size 110# doe.  Well, my freezer is well on its way to being full.  So now they will work on the big bucks.LOL  Oldest DD will be going with daddy this afternoon.  She is after a buck.  We like does better for meat, as they tend to be more tender.  However, we will eat a buck if they get one.  I have the tenderloin soaking in salt water, as we speak.

Congrats on both your daughter and sons hunt, WOW.

God is good to let them both get a deer. Its good to see young people in the sport , not only for bringing home food for the family but helps keep the deer population healthy and strong.

The sport brings many lessons learned and an awareness of nature all around us. You all will have much to talk about Thanksgiving about "THE HUNT" have fun.
