So much to tell and so little time to say it all......

Good Evening Friends,
Well, the move has been successful. If a move could be.LOL We have been here now about 3+ weeks. We have still been going back and forth home a good bit. Lord willing, we will soon find some like minded acquaintances and get involved in this community a little more. Ever since moving here, we have hit the ground running. We moved to this house with very little infrastructure for homesteading. We have had to build a new chicken coop and run. During the process, I lost one hen to a hungry fox. We are also in the process of fencing in the area for our horses. They are very happily roaming 50-75 acres next door at the dairy farm. They will be getting a rude awakening when they go back on to about 5 acres.
We still do not have our internet up and running. Lord willing, that will happen in the next couple of weeks. I have to come to DH's office to get online and usually I just check the emails and get off. It's funny how some things don't seem as important when out of reach. Before moving, I didn't go much more than a day without checking the blog. Since I haven't had access, I really haven't missed it as much as you might think. I don't know that I have gotten anymore done around the homestead but I have unpacked just about all the boxes. That's something, right? However, I have not made bread in well over 4 weeks and the store bought stuff is getting old!! I need to get it together enough to get a few loaves baked.
Our middle daughter celebrated her 13 birthday on Tuesday. So today, we rode down to Jackson and took her to lunch and to Hobby Lobby. All of my children love Hobby Lobby. We could spend hours in there just looking and literally we did. Well, school will be happening on the Spencer Homestead starting Monday. I don't know that any of us are ready but we will be doing it nonetheless.Lol I am praying for a good year with lots of great attitudes.
I hope all is well on your homesteads. Thank you to all the friends here who have prayed for us. Thank you to those of you who have sent me emails and messages. I have so great friends here and I love and miss you dearly!!
In His care,
Trixi

Trixi,
Good to hear from you ~ and good to hear that you are settling into to your new place....... you are right, we can live without the luxuries of life! When I lived in Latin America we had no car - yep, 10 kids and no car...... I miss those days! I loved walking everywhere and it was fabulous exersise!
I hope that you are able to get your things settled and that you are able to find time to start putting down some roots ~
Blessings,
gloria

I have been checking in to see if you and your family was making it okay. It is good to hear that the move has gone well, so far.
It does sound like you have a lot to do around there. And you are starting school next week. what a work load to carry.
Praying for you all and can't wait to hear from you again.

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
