in Around the House - Post Comment

Well, today is the big day.  I do not know how long I will not have internet access.  I may be able to get on periodically from DH's office.  We are going with sattelite internet service, which will require a new computer.  I wont even be thinking about all of that until we get the new house in order.  We have fencing to do along with unpacking, what seems like, a million boxes.  Somewhere in all of this, I have to fit in some form of school.  Thank you Jesus, for homeschooling.

Anyway, DH went and picked up the moving truck this afternoon.  It is huge and I wouldn't let ds ride with him in it.  Which was just stupid.  With that being said, ds will be riding in the big truck today on the way down.  It just made me so nervous.  Today, was a very busy day of packing.  However, I did take time out to do my civic duty and go vote.  We got a ton of stuff done but I could not sleep, for thinking of all the things I still have left to do.  We have 4 teenage boys from church coming this morning at 8:00 to load the truck.  They are going to load all of the heavy furniture and go and unload.  Then they will come back and help load up everything else and the kids and I will go back down with DH and unload.  In theory, it should work well.

Satan is really working on me right now.  Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.  Your adversary, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.  1 Peter 5:8   He is really having a field day with me right now.  I have been anxious for over a week now.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  Phil. 4:6   I know the truths of God and I am clinging to them right now.  There are several issues that only God Himself can remedy at the new house.  We will need him to change the hearts of some people.  Which, He is more than capable of, as long as I just trust in Him.  We have had several things come up here at the end that have just made me want to run screaming from this move.  I am trying hard to consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials.  James 1:2   It does not help that the current home we live in is in the middle of like minded believers and it is just the best place we have ever lived.  God is asking me to step out of my comfort zone and am I willing to follow faithfully.  I know in my head that Satan is just trying to tempt me, but it is so hard to tell my heart that that is all it is.  DH has stood firm in our decision to move and has even taken the road blocks with a grain of salt.  He has been a solid rock during all of this.  I would like to ask my friends here to pray, that I will cast all of my anxiety on the Lord and that I will be anxious for nothing.  That I will continue to Trust In The Lord.  I will thank you all in advance for all of your prayers.

Blessings,

Trixi

If you need ANY help at all with anything, even after the move, just call me and I'll be there ;o)

This is a great adventure, Trixi. Not a burden, not a trial of fire...it's a wonderful chance at starting over on a new homestead. All the little things that ever crossed your mind to do and try....here you go :o) You can live your pioneering dreams to their fullest and enjoy them all. It will be wonderful for you all, trust me. You'll have a great move, things will go as smoothly as any move can go and life will take such a great turn here :o)

Smile and start rolling with whatever punches you think are out there. And call if you need help with anything or just want a cup of iced tea ;o)

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
