I am so sad to say that I am going to be taking a blogging break.....

As I sat in church today, I was convicted heavily that I need to take a hiatus from blogging.  It will be hard not to be tempted to get on here and see what is going on with all of my dear friends but I need to do it.  This thing has become somewhat of an idol in my life and I need to put it in it's proper place.  The main thing that convicted me was....

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 This is a verse I have known since my first days of salvation but have not been practicing them well in the last several months.  I can not increase my knowledge and faith if I am not spending time in God's Word.  Well, I have been slacking in that area.  I have some things that I really need answers to and need to really be spending some time with the Lord getting those answers.

I love this blog and this community.  However, I am spending more time with all of you than with my Heavenly Father.  I am going to be reprioritizing.  I may not be able to stand it and have to call Deanna or Debi to check in.LOL

I did the same thing you did about a month ago. Blogging became too addictive. I now spend more time with my homeschooled 15 year old and my 4 yr old. It has been great and I have found that I don't miss it as much as I thought. I still read blogs on occasion but not every day or even every other day. Just once in a while.

May God bless you as you take this time to grow closer to Him ~ I do understand.... thru the years I too have taken breaks from the computer and email..... these periods have always been good ....... I am praying that this time will be a great time of renewal for you in your relationship with our precious Lord! I admire you for putting HIM first in your life..... I know the computer can become too much of an "idol" in our lives.......I reallly have to watch it and try to only use it at night.... that helps to have limitted time with it..... if you feel convicted to do this at this time - then follow your heart friend and see what great things God has in store for you! We will miss you but know you will be blessed for your efforts to come unto Him!

You will be missed.......but you are so right, nothing should slack because of our friendship here..It is hard for me too, believe that..I would love to be here longer than I am since I am missing lots, but time does not permit.. I try and get on late at night when all is done and it is MY quite time..Hope you post soon..God bless you and your family.......Debbie
