I have strawberries running out my ears~~~~~~~

Not exactly but I do feel like it this morning. Yesterday, I went over to our local tomato farm and picked up 2 flats (24 pints) of strawberries. I then began the process of washing, cutting off stems, and hulling them. Then I started the jam making process. I love the product of a job well done. I ended up with 3 pints and 11 half pints of strawberry jam. The kids have about 4 pints of strawberries left to eat. Ofcourse, they were eating away at them the whole time and DH took a pint with him to eat at work. They are so sweet and delicious. I may go get another flat on Monday and put up a few more jars of jam or dehydrate the strawberries.

Today is going to be a laundry day. I am so behind. I had hoped to put a good deal of it on the line but rain is going to be coming in so I don't know if that is going to be a possibility. However, we desperately need the rain. Please, Lord, let it rain.
The garden is looking great. I have watermelon seeds already coming up. Now, I just want to see the little heads of those peas. I planted 7 rows of peas so far. I hope to have a freezer full of peas and squash this year. I think we will end up with atleast 30 tomato plants out there. I have 17 already planted and 45 in the house that were started as seedlings. If they all continue to do well, I will be giving some away. That would just be way too many. I love to give stuff away anyway.
Blessings,
Trixi

You've motivated me to get some good Louisiana strawberries and make jam! The picture is so pretty! I'm itching to see my butter peas sprout too. They seem to be taking longer than I'd like them to. Keep posting of your garden progress.

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
