So much to catch up on....Strawberry patches and horse castrating.... where to begin...

Saturday was a big day for our family.  The girls participated in their first 4H horse show.  It was fun.  They did very well.  They did not place but they did learn what they needed to work on.  It was a great learning experience.

Well, yesterday was a busy busy day.  We started out the day with schooling.  Oh, how I wish we didn't have to school in the spring.LOL  Then DS and I went to the CoOp about 11:00 to get 2 cross ties and 2 scoops of soil.  I was making my strawberry patch.  I already had 2 cross ties.  The guy threw in an extra one just because they looked so bad.  That's ok they are just to keep my dirt in.  Anyway, I drove the truck and trailer through the yard and preceded to put in my strawberry patch.  We got finished about 2:00 and we had a good bit of dirt left so we filled in some holes and put the rest out in the garden.  We then started cutting the grass and pulling weeds.  It was a full hard day.  However, I would rather be doing outside chores than inside.  That is why I have so much clutter.UGH!!!

As for today, it is another busy day.  The weather is beyond beautiful.  It will probably get back into the 80's.  Thank you Jesus!!  We have piano this morning and then the vet will come.  Our 10 month old foal is ready to be fixed.  I hate to do it but it has to be done.  So the vet will come and sedate him and then proceed to castrate him.  We will probably all cry.  Nevertheless, it has to be done and he will be fine. We will then put him in a stall and watch him for a day or so.  Then he will be good as new.

Then Lord willing, the girls and I are going to go see if we can find a couple of short sleeve shirts.  It is amazing how fast they grow and need new clothes.  I won't be getting much but they do need a few descent things to wear into town and to church.

Well, I missed everyone when the blog was down.  Now, I need to go get caught up.

Blessings,

Trixi

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
