The dogs around here....

I have been reading about Maa getting rid of her dog for the neighbor and thought I might post about our dogs. Well, let's start with "Peaches". Her registered name is Katherine's Peaches and Cream. She is a white poodle. She is the most worthless of all the animals here. However, we have had her for 10 years and she is part of the family. Then there is Shiloh. He is a Golden Retriever. We have had him for about 7 years. We got him when he was about a year old. He is a great dog. Loyal to the end. If we ever buy another dog it will be a Golden. They are just a great breed. Then in Jan. my girls were given a 2 month old Blue Tick Hound named Addy.(long story) If I had it my way we would not have this dog but I am a very submissive wife.LOL I have gotten use to the idea of a hound dog and she too has become a member of the family. I wish I could get pictures to upload but just use your imagination.

I think a hound dog is grea t to have for barking when a stranger is about.
I truly think that our neighbor wanted us to get rid of our dog because he was a good watch dog.Our neighbor likes to sneak around the woods at night and sometimes he get in our barn for straw. Well, the dog would always bark and then we knew he was out there. Plus he would chase away all of the deer on our land and his. He (the neighbor) being a deer hunter didn't like that at all.
I am happy to have made peace with him even though he is sneaking around here at night.
He is quite harmless but is a little odd.
