Exactly what is a blog?

I have pondered this a bit today after reading some of the other entries of the day. For me this is my place to journal. I discuss here what I am thinking on at the moment. If I am making laundry detergent or sock monkeys, I blog about it, and if I am studying faith I blog about that, as well. My intentions are not to offend anyone. They are for me to journal my thoughts. I read alot of the blogs here and I glean so much and I am challenged immensely. However, as plain as my family is, we are not as plain as others and probably will never be. That does not mean that I can not learn from those other families. We can all glean something from somebody. There are some sites here that I do not go to. For instance, there have been some very Catholic entries. Well, I am not Catholic and for the most part do not agree with Catholism. I would never leave a negative comment. Instead I would just avoid that entry. It would not pertain to me. I think the best thing we can all do here is glean what we can and avoid anything that we can't use. It's a waste of time and energy. So if I write something that you don't paticularly agree with, then stop reading and wait on me to talk about something you do. I will do the same. The biggest thing is we need to be respectful towards each other. I am not going to change your mind on a topic anymore than you are going to change mine. However, we can all show the love of Christ to one another. I will be continuing to get on my soap box on occasion and if you don't want to read it please come back when you see something you do!!!
Blessings,
Trixi

I totally agree. It is so very simple to just not go where we know we don't belong. I am really not sure why so many are is such and uproar about it.
Just read what you like and leave what you don't alone.
I love reading your blog and also learn a lot.
Really hope that we can get together soon.
Blessings,
Debi

I don't know what is going on around here, but I do know that, like you, I would never leave a negative comment on someone else's blog. Like you, I don't go to Catholic sites, nor do I go to anything that seems to be atheistic or hippyish. Those people have the right to write about whatever they want, and I have the right to not read it, so I don't. I think we can access the sites that encourage us and avoid the ones that don't. We don't have to leave rude comments. We can just not go there!

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
