Saturday was the big day. I don't have my list in front of me, so I know I will forget something but here goes.....
Moon and Stars Watermelons
Sunflower seeds
Marigolds
Sweet peas
Zuchinni
Squash crookneck and straight
Okra
Tomatoes (60)
Cucumbers (pickling and eating)
Crowder peas
Fordhook Lima beans
Pink eye purple hull peas
50 Strawberry plants
I will be buying pepper plants, herb plants, and anything else I think we may need from our local CoOp.
I will be canning lots of tomatoes, and sauces. We also like a lot of peas put up in the freezer. This year we plan to plant a few rows of peas every two weeks so that they are not coming in all at the same time.LOL Last year, between the tomatoes, peas, and okra, I just could not keep up. I will be planting less okra this year. It just makes incredibly and I hate having to throw any away. As you can see, I am sooo excited. This is the one thing we do very well and I love it!!!!

Hi Trixi! If you do any crafting, you don't have to throw the okra away. Okra dries nicely and you can make crafts with them. I paint mine. I've seen online where people make angels out of them. You can use them in dried flower arrangements, etc. Just use your imagination. I still have dried pods waiting for me to do something with.
