Dropping Seeds of salvation...

First off, I just want to say what a wonderful community we have here. I thank each of you who have and are lifting my family up in prayer right now. I will say I felt it when I was on my trip yesterday. Deanna, thank you so much for your offer. As of right now, prayer is all we need. Thank you.
As for my aunt, I went yesterday morning and she was completely incoherent. She had already been given her morphin by the time I got there so there was no real opportunity for sharing. I then went to my dad's to visit for a while, before going back to my aunt's. During this visit, I had the opportunity to drop many seeds of salvation. I now wonder if that was not the whole reason for my visit. I have not had many opportunities in the past but with all of this death surrounding, it opened a different door. My dad is a hard man and I have not ever just come out and witnessed in fear of turning him off all together. He knows my Dh and I are Christians and he does see our fruit. That in itself has led to some discussion but it seems this has led to even more. I did go back to my aunt's and she was a little more awake but I didn't have an opportunity to say all that I wanted to say. There was just sooo much family in that one tiny room. However, I had prayed that God would open the door and maybe he had me say all that needed to be said. It was a sweet time and she was so glad to see me. She is completely bed ridden and is having some internal bleeding. I don't think it will be too much longer and I hope to go back and see her one more time before the end.
The whole way home I looked back and thought of all the different opportunities that I had to witness with other family members and missed. Different places I could have dropped seeds. I just could have done so much more. I guess we all have those times. I just want to get to a place where I am always taking advantage of those opportunities.

I'm glad it went well for you, but don't be so hard on yourself! The point is that you planted the seeds. God will do the watering, nurturing and growing. Sometimes all He wants us to do is plant that little seed and the rest will follow, under His gentle, guiding hand.
