| This is the day that the Lord has made. |
I don't write entries as much as I probably should. However, by the time I read all of my favorites and comment hear and there, my computer time is over. I don't want this to interfere with my family so I take a minute here and there. Anyway, I atleast want to record my praises. So here goes....
DH has been driving back and forth to his new job an hour and fifteen minutes away. Well with gas prices and Christmas this has been a VERY tight month. On top of that, we have been waiting for a check for a job my DH did back before Thanksgiving and it had not come yet. DH made a special trip home last night to go and pick up this check and all was well in the world, until this morning. DH got up like usual and left the house at 5:30. I went back to bed and 5 minutes later he called. He got about 2 1/2 miles down the road and his tire blew out. I had to go down, in my PJ's, and take him the air tank. Praise the Lord it was still dark. He then drove it home and put on the spare. He went on to work and I took the car in and got 2 new back tires.
My praises are....If this had happened Friday when we were VERY tight, I would have been so worried. I tend to do that. Also, those tires have been needing to be changed since the summer and we got 6 more months out of them.
God knows my heart and as much as I don't need to worry, sometimes things just get overwhelming. He didn't have to give us the money for new tires but He is sooo good to Us. He didn't have to make the timing be just perfect but again He is sooo good to Us. I am just so thankful that I serve a risen Saviour, who watches out over me and my children and blesses us beyond measure.
Things are still tight and they probably will be as long as we are a family, living on one income, and following God's word. However, as long as I can keep my eye on the prize and know that I have a faithful Father looking over me, all is well. It may not look good to the World but the bigger picture is what is important.
