It's official.. DH got the job...

| This is the day that the Lord has made. |
My sweet DH has been deciding and praying over his profession. Before he went to Iraq in 2004, he was a residential contractor. He built lots of beautiful houses. After he came back, he had really reevaluated his life. As a builder his work day was never finished. If he wasn't on a job site he was on the cell phone. It was 6:00 to 8:00, 7 days a week. He has really prayed over wether or not that was the life he wanted.
Well, he has decided to take a fulltime National Guard job in Carthage. He will be running the Armory down there. He is excited about it. It will mean a pay cut but the benefits are amazing. He will work 7:00 to 4:30,Monday thru Friday. He will have every other Monday off, every red letter holiday, and 30 days vacation a year. We have never had this much time with him. I haveto say I don't even care about the pay cut. The only draw back, other than the possibility of going back to war, is that we do have to move closer to Carthage. It's a smaller town than what we live in now. That could probably be a good thing. DH has talked to a few guys and they say it's also a good community. We shall see. It might be nice to have a change, as DH and I have lived in this same community for most of our lives. It will be neat to see something different. If I complain later remind me of this statement.LOL
DH started today and he is now on the search for us a new home. If you don't mind please be in prayer for us to find the perfect home for us. Our children are having a tough time with having to move,so a good place for them to run would help. Thank you in advance. This has trully been a trial, as we have family and great likeminded friends here, but God is bigger than all of that. He has a plan for us and Lord willing we are right in the middle of it.
Blessings,
Trixi

Hey -- how'd I miss this?
Ok, now we HAVE to get together before you go moving to Carthage (which, by the way, I haven't a clue as to its location!)
And, no I haven't been to Ada's at all. Want me to go? What do you need?
Deanna

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
