Encouragement from Titus 2 Women :)

I met with some dear Titus 2 women today for a couple of hours.  It was very encouraging in the areas of submission, which I have a little bit of trouble with(LOL), and raising Godly children.  I was so convicted not only to have a submissive spirit but to do it with a rejoicing heart.  Phil. 4:4  Another area of conviction was that I need to be doing things out of my own conviction and not just because Jane Doe is doing it.  Romans 14:22  That if we are doing things just because someone else is doing it, we will not recieve the blessing and it could even be sin.  John 13:17   Which is an excellent reason to reevaluate from time to time things like submission, homeschooling, and just ways of parenting.  Not only for us but to let our children see that we are doing these things by faith. Romans 10:17  Enough preaching.  I was just thoroughly encouraged.  I pray that each of you have someone that you can have some type of encouragement and accountability with.  I have not always had it and am so thankful for it when I do.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

Hi! I just read your blog and was struck by some similarities we have. We, too, have moved from family and find that they are contemporary in their thinking and just don't "quite get us". We moved from Arizona to Arkansas 11 years ago to make a better life for us and our two daughters. God has blessed us with two more daughters while living here. We have always home schooled, we love the Lord and are striving to raise godly women. That isn't easy to do these days, when even the church does things that we view as bending toward the world. Anyway, we also have ten acres to which we will be moving to this weekend. We have horses, a donkey, goats, dogs, and a cat. We are looking to raise sheep, and maybe a few chickens. We also want to raise our own beef. So, I will be watching your blog to see what you know about all this stuff! Have fun, nice to "meet" you.

The only people I have for instruction or encouragement is ladies on this computer, which is probably why I am on here so much...Hmmm...TO MUCH !! I don't neglect my kids, but I do spend WAY TO MUCH TIME on here !!!<frown> I am starting to get under conviction now, so I will close this, oh by the way, GOOD PREACHING !!!! LOL

Definite kindred spirits :o) We moves last year in search of that better life...certainly a world-driven family unit around us up north didn't help much as we have been moving toward a 'plain' lifestyle for the past many years now. But, I had close friends to visit with in the flesh for encouragement...and here we have but precious few, and not very close by. I know the Lord moved us here, so I'm trying to be patient and wait for what He Plans...
