Working on my blog.....

I have been trying to put clip art into my blog tonight, with little luck.  I save the clip art in my documents then try to upload it in the avatar and then it says its too big.  I tell you this can get very aggravating.  I may just have to leave things the way they are....  Anyway, I need to put all things into perspective.  I have just started all of this.  I did get one pic to upload.  I dont know why it did and others didnt.  Oh well.

We got back from my mom's around 3:00.  I was so glad to be home even though we had only been away overnight.  I need to go see her occasionally but we just hate to be away from home.   I guess that is a good thing considering we are wanting to strive to be steadfast at home (thank you for the definition Lisa at New Harvest).  The situation some of you have, of having your family on your land would be so ideal.  We have a different situation however.  My husband and I say that we are starting our new heritage or generation.  We both fully love and trust the Lord and therefore are trying to follow his directions.  This thinking doesnt fall in line with contemporary thinking which is what most of my family is following.  We just continue to pray that in one way or another we will be a light to those who feel we have gone off the deep end.

We have been looking more and more into our baby calf we are going to get.  We have a barn and are thinking we will just get one of the stalls ready for the calf.

We are also looking at getting about 6 chickens.  Is there a better time of year to get them?  I have been wondering if it will be too cold to start now.  I know that we would brood them indoors at first.  Probably in our storage room.  This is something else we are researching......

We have so many plans and I just wonder if any of them will come to fruition....

God knows....

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

I'm glad you're glad

“I want to know one thing,” said John Wesley, “—the way to heaven: how to land safe on that happy shore. God himself has condescended to teach the way. He hath written it down in a book. O give me that book! At any price, give me the book of God! I have it: here is knowledge enough for me. Let me be a man of one book.”
