Homeschooling a Highschooler is harder than I had imagined.....

I  posted this over at my homeschool blog and since there are so many homeschoolers here I thought I would post it here too....  I am starting 9th grade with my oldest dear darling.  I have the Math down as we will be using Teaching Textbooks Algebra I this year.  The problem now is Science.  We are using Abeka's Physical Science 9th grade and I mean it is tough....  I have an elementary ed. background.  You do not teach the metric system in kindergarten.LOL   I wish sometimes we could just stick with History and Language Arts.  As you have probably guessed the Maths and Sciences are not my strong suit.  I am still so thankful for this opportunity and want it to be the best that it can be.  Anyway, if anyone has a better suggestion I sure would love to here it.

I can offer absolutely no assistance in the math department other than to say who really uses Algebra anyway? Best of luck as you figure it out.

Great Gravy Miss Mavy! That cirriculum is amazing.
It also has a 1-800 number in the front of the book for student assistance.
I have a 9th grade boy doing CHEMISTRY and a 10th grade girl doing PHYSICS. Hello...dumb as a stump here....can't do either!!! BUT my dh can help, and the book is very very very self explanitory. My kids love Apologia!! www.highschoolscience.com
